So, rewind to the ’90s — I was on tour with my dad’s band, War: Lowrider, Gypsy Man, Why Can’t We Be Friends — and fun fact, I’m actually in the original music video, just a kid hanging out on set, having the time of my life! It was the era of their ’94 comeback album, and I got to be a part of it, which meant not only studio time but live stages all over the globe. 🌍
One night, we rolled up to Hailey, Idaho. Now, picture this: a tiny town surrounded by mountains, where you’d never expect a music scene, let alone for War. And then, out of nowhere, this place has shiny new buildings and this crazy venue called The Mint, packed with fans. It had this intimate vibe mixed with a wild energy. We thought that alone was surreal. But then… Bruce Willis walks in, just casually like any other fan, except he’s not just a fan — he’s a massive War fan. 😱
Next thing you know, Bruce Willis is on stage with us, rocking out and jamming like he’d been part of the band his whole life. To say it was unreal doesn’t even cover it; here’s one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, on stage with us, totally in the zone. And it didn’t end there — later, when I was back in LA, Bruce hooked me up, getting me into a club, like, no big deal, right? 😅
Recently, hearing about the health struggles he’s facing really hit hard. The energy and kindness he brought to moments like that say everything about him. Stay strong, Bruno! 💙
